The Story of a Campus Map: Accessibility, GIS, and Campus Partners

Communities and campuses are accountable to regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. This paper will document the inter-departmental collaboration and decision protocols involved in developing a university campus map that is fully accessible to assistive technology through careful Geodatabase design as well as provides pertinent accessible routing information using GIS network tools.
