GIS to Support Policy of Renewable Energy Development in S. California

This study seeks to analyze uses of GIS as a crucial tool for renewable energy development. It induces a model for integrated policy assessment of renewables policy development. Next it gives a case study of spatial analysis to set policy for developing wind and solar energy in California’s Coachella Valley, including the present status of renewable energy, its spatial arrangement in the Valley, its socioeconomic background, transportation, and GIS to understand policy challenges and issues.
