New Products of the USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP)

The 3D Elevation Program’s (3DEP) primary goal is to systematically collect enhanced elevation data in the form of high-quality light detection and ranging (lidar) data. ESRI’s Workflow Manager, along with customized background code, is used to manage high resolution elevation data to package or produce a number of new products for distribution via “The National Map” including high resolution Digital Elevation Models, Digital Surface Models and Orthorectified Radar Intensity Imagery.
