Empowering Field Crews by Leveraging ArcGIS Server
Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater

Due to the inaccuracies of “As-Built” utility drawings it has been discovered by the field personnel that the GIS data was not always representative of what is actually in the ground. ArcGIS Server provided them a mechanism to remedy this situation. The field crews came up with an innovated way to quickly correct the GIS data by providing a PDF sketch of existing utilities on the browser and email this information to GIS staff in the office allowing for quick corrections for field verification.
