Abstract
Parisian buildings adjoining walls and energy loss
Track: Architecture, Engineering, and Construction

The energy loss calculation of a building combines a large number of parameters. These are better apprehended with the analysis tools provided by the GIS. In a dense city, the buildings adjoining walls play a significant role in the limitation of energy loss. Through this example, we will present how it is possible to automate series of prospective calculations that will help to establish a typology of the urban fabric in the Parisian metropolis, according to its energy loss characteristics.
