Abstract

End of System Outfall Identification Project in a Permitted MS4 City

The project was developed to support two major components of the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit MS4 Mapping requirements. First was to verify and provide the location of all MS4 outfalls within 3 years of the permit issuance. Secondly, under the Dry Weather Field Screening Program all major outfalls must be identified and monitored. Therefore, each outfall had to be reviewed under a standardized process utilizing GIS so that these two permit requirements were met.
