Habitat Evolution Modeling in Model Builder

Climate change and sea level rise are causing habitat evolution, which will continue at an increasingly rapid pace in the future. We have built a model in model builder to produce coastal habitat distribution maps over time in response to sea level rise, accretion and erosion, and changes in freshwater inflow. This model was developed to evaluate the future of Los Peñasquitos lagoon in northern San Diego County and includes processes that other habitat evolution models lack.
