DOD Airfield Obstruction Collection and Mapping: A GIS Approach

Presentation is geared toward presenting how GIS techniques assisted in DOD airfield obstruction collection and classification through discussing examples of airport/installation collections in 2014. presentation will demonstrate how high resolution/density helicopter based lidar/imagery collection assisted in extracting features for compiling DOD tabs E1 through E9 and how Spatial Analyst and ArcGIS based tools assisted in extracting, inventorying and classifying various airfield obstructions.
