Analyzing the origin-destination commuter flow at the local jurisdictions level is significant for understanding workers' commuting patterns among local jurisdictions. SCAG has conducted a commuter flow analysis for jurisdictions in the region by developing an automated workflow using ArcGIS, CTPP Origin-Destination data, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), and Python. SCAG has effectively visualized the commuter flow for 191 cities and 6 counties in a time and labor efficient manner.
