Denton Municipal Electric had been using a non-GIS based model for its outage management system for a few years. In 2013, we began the process of implementing a GIS-based Outage Management System using Schneider Electric's Responder OMS. This solution and its requirements for a fully functional Primary System Operations Control Center and a Backup Control Center met for many interesting challenges by the DME staff.
