Tracking Municipal Snow Operations in Real-Time using ArcGIS Online

Prince George’s County used AGOL during Snow Operations for 2014-15 Winter Snow Events. Staff used a WebMap to locate routes, citizen complaints and resources. Inspectors used a CollectorMap to report road conditions in real-time. District Managers were able to view the reports using an Operations Dashboard. AGOL streamlined operations that had previously used phone/radio, prevented redundant inspections and provided the ability to quickly locate critical need areas based on spatial data.
