The NASA GES DISC hosts a suite of satellite-derived multi-temporal/scale data (e.g., rainfall, air quality) useful to a wide range of GIS application areas such as health, drought, and water resources. With the enhanced capabilities in ArcGIS 10.3, satellite data become increasingly easier to be analyzed. We’ll introduce our most GIS-relevant data, present our ArcGIS enabling capabilities and tools, and demonstrate how to analyze our data for air quality and drought monitoring applications.
