Abstract
Geospatial Analysis for San Francisco Better Streets Prioritization
Track: Urban and Regional Planning
Authors: Nell Conti
To prioritize streets for walking environment improvement projects the project team used a GIS-analytical approach. For each of three planning scenarios street network segments were coded in GIS with a variety of explanatory variables using spatial overlay analysis and subsequently scored. Each of the scenario street segments were analyzed against a robust set of evaluation criteria using geospatial modeling. Infographics were developed to clearly communicate the modeling results.
