Ditching Paper at the MTA: From Field Inspections to Parking Manuals

The Maryland Transit Administration had been using a paper based method to inspect their parking and transit facilities. The resulting information was used to produce a massive hard copy manual of maps, charts and photos for each facility. RK&K has streamlined the MTA's inspection process through the use of ArcGIS Online and Collector. Staff spent less time in the field and less time cleaning up the resulting data. The manual has been replaced by an AGOL web application which reaches more users.
