Advanced GIS Tools for Infrastructure Data Management at Ecopetrol

This paper describes how advanced GIS tools are helping Ecopetrol compile, align, structure and integrated information coming from multiple sources in order to make better business decisions. Tools include a web based platform that allows information queries, report generation, data analysis, among other products. Geoprocessing models were developed to generate alerts, alarms and notifications about threats to the system. A dashboard was also developed for quick high level access to information.
