Riparian areas are dynamic, transitional areas between aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems with well-defined vegetation and soil characteristics. Riparian Buffer Delineation Model (RBDM) v3.0 successfully maps riparian areas by harnessing the geospatial capabilities of ArcGIS and Python programming language to accurately map variable width riparian areas. The result is a cost effective robust and accurate workflow to assist decision makers in mapping and managing riparian areas.
