This paper presents a theoretically-grounded, analytical account of the evolution and deployment of the Wyoming Geospatial Hub (GeoHub), a new Web-based infrastructure for easily finding and accessing the right data and map services for Wyoming geospatial projects. It explains the rationale behind the selected tools and techniques, and concludes with a brief discussion of how the GeoHub fits into the evolving and important domains of big data and open data.
