The Trust for Public ParkScore® index is an effort to analyze how well parks and public open spaces in the 75 largest cities in the US meet residents’ needs for outdoor recreation. This presentation will discuss the challenges, options, and lessons learned when using Network Analyst Service Areas to find the ½ mile service area of the newly sited park along with associated demographics and when using Network Analyst Location Allocation to determine the optimum places for new parks.
