Track: Conservation

Wetlands are the Nation’s most ecologically and economically important habitats. Emerging conservation issues such as global warming, sea-level rise, increasing storm severity, drought, energy development, and species declines are driving the need for modern geospatial resource data. The FWS is working to modernize the wetlands geospatial data and services to meet the demands of resource managers. This project is creating a modern and consistent set of wetland and riparian maps within the DRECP.
