Building a College Geography Textbook using Esri’s Map Journal App

This presentation demonstrates the capability of Esri’s Map Journal app to construct a web-based academic textbook. The project relies on three features available with Esri’s ArcGIS Online – intelligent web maps, templates for storytelling with maps and the new Map Journal app – to construct a geography textbook for the harmonized curriculum of the 30 geography departments in Ethiopian universities. It is the first college textbook built and delivered with Map Journal.
