Institutionalizing GIS Contributions to Real Property Accountability

GeoReadiness was established to build, sustain, and advance Navy shore installation management capabilities. Real Property Accountability Officers are using GIS to reconcile Navy lands and manmade features with asset records in the iNFADS system. The spatial results inform and enhance real property accountability. In this presentation, we will describe the process of institutionalizing GIS contributions, as expressed in Navy policy, as a revolutionary change to real property business practices.
