Creating GIS Partnerships Supporting Transportation Planning

As part of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2), the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) was selected as a Lead Adopter for expediting planning, and environmental review of transportation projects in the Intermountain West region. MAG staff compiled data from agencies across the region on a variety of themes including demographics, land, hydro, environmental, transportation, resources, and economy. Data were map and analyzed to produce an ArcGIS story map and risk register.
