Impervious Surface Spatial Integrity Estimation

Impervious surface estimation was developed using landuse classification of Landsat for a watershed using unsupervised classification for impervious areas. Statistics were used to develop percent impervious area, mean impervious fragment size and euler number for the watershed and sub-watersheds. This not only provided the percent impervious, but also the mean and euler number to quantify the spatial integrity and how the impervious area is distributed through the entire study area.
