Soil and Water Contamination Remediation Using 3-D Modeling

In an effort to visualize, evaluate, and clean-up onsite environmental contamination near a power plant, a 3-dimensional model using ArcGIS software was developed. Using our existing enterprise GIS system, which includes hundreds of layers of geospatial data, and hundreds of thousands of routinely sampled surface water, ground water, and soil quality data points collected in density over the course of several years, a powerful 3-D model was compiled within an ArcGIS environment.
