Track: Emergency Management
Authors: Chris Sallese, Jeff Scarborough, Tony Duerkop
The Gulf Coast Community Preservation and Recovery District (GCCPRD) was formed to help Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Jefferson, and Orange counties located in the upper Texas Gulf Coast region, develop plans and conduct studies to alleviate damage from events like Hurricane Ike in 2008. Threats were modeled using ADCIRC, STWAVE, HEC-RAS and HEC-FDA. Potential alternatives were shared with the public using Esri's ArcGIS Server to integrate study results with the ArcGIS Online basemap.
