Mapping of Cultural Heritage Ahead of Forest Operations

Almost half of all known cultural heritage in the Swedish forests are affected during forestry. However, only about 50% of the cultural heritage in the forests are known.
This presentation focus on the use of new nationwide lidar data, along with other available data bases that are processed in GIS to map cultural heritage and support planning in forestry operations by indicating considerations to be made in advance. Experiences from operational use at forest companies will be presented.
