The City of Rio de Janeiro is going through a challenging moment. Being the host city of a major event such as 2016 Olympic Games great urban transformation and restructuring are taking place. Geospatial information provide necessary resources for more efficient planning, implementation, development and monitoring of public policies and municipal management for a smarter, more integrated and sustainable city - both socially, economically and environmentally.
