Managing Highway Infrastructure with GIS: MA Turnpike Case Study

The 2015 MA Turnpike Triennial Inspection required the spatial database features of GIS to rapidly collect asset condition ratings and photos, analyze deterioration, and create a sustainable framework for future inspections of the MA highway system. This project specifically used the Collector app to gather condition ratings for over 850 assets and categorize over 7,500 photos. ArcSDE was used to build a relational data model incorporating past and future data for deterioration analysis.
