Geospatial Analysis of Glacial Dynamics in Shigar and Shyok Basins

The Geospatial analysis shows that Glaciers of aspect zone North have maximum snow coverage in comparison to South aspect zone. Aspect wise snow distribution in Five seasons is observed from RS data. It is resulted from GIS assessment of Shyok and Shiar Basin that south aspect zones have maximum melting activities in comparison with North asect zones which may cause triggering of some catastrophic event in combination with factors as seismic activity, high temperature and anthropogenic activity.
