Urgently Implementing and Assimilating a New Public Works Division

With four months notice, the Asset Management Division was tasked with integrating and assimilating a new division, Community Maintenance, into Public Works’ established GIS-centric asset management system. Existing workflows had to be reworked for the new division, across the Department, and with the 311 Contact Center. Additional challenges included new staff not being on site or on the Public Works network and aging technology infrastructure.
