Abstract
GeoConflation for the National Hydrography Dataset
Track: National Mapping
Authors: Dave Anderson
The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is maintained by federal, state and local partners. The production database maintained by the USGS consists of the best available resolution for a given region. In order to retain attribute information between different map scales, a method of spatial conflation is used, referred to as GeoConflation. This presentation will discuss the methodology used to create a conflated database and outcomes once data has been processed into the national production data.
