Trail and non-motorized trail planning brings unique challenges and The Trust For Public Land uses a suite of innovative GIS tools and techniques to meet them. One of those techniques is the use of crowdsourced data from Strava, Inc. to greatly enhance the understanding of how cyclists and pedestrians use the current trail and road networks.
This presentation will present how crowdsourced data can be integrated into inovative trail and active transportation planning information.
