Spatial statistics, including Global and Local Moran’s I and contrasts of mean center, were used to analyze the distributional shifts of fish populations post-removal of a competitively dominant species. GIS justifies the spatial component of the ecological data and gateways to future research. Results found statistically significant distributional patterns and movement of species. This project is unique and useful to Esri UC as spatial statistics is a lesser used but powerful tool in research.
