Abstract
Modernizing Geograhic Communication with Story Maps
Track: Smart Communities
Authors: Edward Apalinski
The NJDEP is using story maps to provide a fresh, contemporary approach to communication. They are easy to understand yet packed with information. They’ve been used to communicate information to the public such as what fish to eat and how much, private well testing results, and the status of environmental investigations. This presentation will speak to our experience with managing story maps, subject matter, and future development. We hope other organizations can benefit from our story.
