This paper is an overview of the 2016 journey to build a national geospatial database from field data in order to process Oil and Gas Drilling Permits and to prioritize Grazing Permits. Spatial Analysis of land health and habitat disturbance is used to rate proposed projects. The BLM in Washington DC, state and field office staff partnered with USGS to build the services.
