Lake EMS (LEMS) faces mapping challenges dispatching EMS & Fire units throughout the County. Being geocentric in nature CAD is extremely dependent on accurate map elements to recommend & route resources. LEMS requires many GB of data spread over multiple dbs to be analyzed using GIS. LEMS GIS systems consisted of a standalone workstation in 2015. Partnering with Lake County GIS to share resources we plan to connect to their SDE Environment in order to fully leverage the power/cost savings of GIS
