USGS and the Census Bureau have uniquely aligned production operations across the agencies to assure that their mapping efforts are mutually beneficial, efficient, and deliver value to the American public. USGS and the Census Bureau have joined force to provide more spatially accurate road features, better alignment of roads with imagery, and increased participation from partners. As a result TIGER is the primary source for roads information in The National Map.
