Bottom Albedo Images to Improve Classification of Benthic Habitat Maps

High-resolution benthic habitat maps were developed from AVIRIS and WV2 bottom albedo images for La Parguera Reserve, southwestern Puerto Rico.The segmented images were exported to ArcMap 10.3 where Spatial Join was performed to classify the polygons, with an improvement in overall accuracy. An accuracy assessment was performed where the overall accuracy (AVIRIS = 63.55%, WV2 = 64.81%) were evaluated. A major contribution was the creation of the first benthic habitat map for La Parguera Reserve.
