Linked USGS Fisheries Research Data Open Floodgates for Integration

The USGS Fisheries Program develops tools and information to support the management and conservation of our Nation’s aquatic species, communities, and habitats. The Program has initiated the use of a consistent geospatial hydrologic framework for disseminated data. Linear referencing fisheries research data to the NHDPlus has increased access to available data for models and analyses. This foundation will facilitate users’ ability to address interdisciplinary and multiscalar research questions.
