Abstract
Refining National Boundaries of the United States
Track: National Mapping
Authors: Robert Pierce, Laura Waggoner
We use boundary lines again and again when we develop new maps and do geographic analyses. But how good are these lines we place on our maps? Are they accurate, are they up-to-date? The FGDC National Boundaries Group has been meeting to improve the national boundaries of the U.S. (state, county, international, Federal & tribal boundaries) The group is focused on importance of national boundary data sets and the data sets being integrated, consistent, compatible, accurate, and available.
