The U.N. Global Geospatial Information Management (GGIM) initiative's goal is to set the agenda for promoting the importance of the use and development of geospatial information worldwide. Now in its fifth year of existence, the GGIM has documented the research priorities and challenges of managing geospatial information. This presentation will discuss the formation of the Global Statistical Geospatial Framework and how it can be applied and leveraged in the U.S.
