Utah Air Quality Monitoring Using Fixed and Mobile Stations

With serious issues of worst air quality, the availability of air monitoring stations are scarce in the state of Utah. The study focusses on monitoring air quality in Salt Lake and Utah Counties. The study uses fixed stations of Utah’s Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ) and low cost mobile stations customized at Utah Valley University. GIS models are developed to analyze the reasonable number of fixed and/or mobile air quality monitoring stations required for micro scale monitoring.
