Abstract
Workflow for Groundwater Level and Storage Changes in New Mexico
Track: Water Resources
Authors: Brigitte Felix Kludt
In New Mexico, we have variable surface water availability, and limited recharge to groundwater. We have developed a method of reviewing regional groundwater level changes and groundwater storage changes. Interpolated surfaces were used to calculate changes in depth to water through time. Changes in groundwater levels were interpreted using kriging and IDW interpolations. Maps of the differences and a text file of the gridded differences are output for visualization and storage change analysis.
