The USGS 3D Elevation Program’s (3DEP) primary goal is to systematically collect enhanced elevation data in the form of high-quality light detection and ranging (lidar) data, to be acquired over an eight year period. Once data arrives at NGTOC, an internal QC is performed on the data before it is made publicly available via The National Map. During this presentation we will explore National Map products in detail, along with acceptance criteria for inclusion into specific National Map layers.
