Using Advanced GIS Techniques to Analyze the U.S. Freight Economy

This project aims to enhance the safe, efficient transport of all forms of freight across the United States. We identify specific improvements in freight movement across the country to foster growth of the freight infrastructure and economy. We utilize unique approaches to analyze the freight infrastructure and economy. This analysis provides a specialized understanding of commodity movements within and between regions. We show the impact of these flows on the national economy.
