Abstract
Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) Final Quality Control
Track: Statistics
Authors: Patrick Jurgens
Each year the Census Bureau accepts thousands of boundary updates from tribal, state, and local governments though its Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) program. These updates come in the form of digital data as well as on hand-annotated paper maps. This presentation will discuss the tools that the Census Bureau has developed to preform quality control checks on all boundary updates to the MAF/TIGER system. This includes the use of ArcMap to integrate paper maps with the digital environment.
