Updating the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) for California

The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is the authoritative hydrography dataset for California and is a critical asset for numerous applications and programs.Limited portions of the CA NHD have been updated to bring the data up to 1:24,000 standards, resulting in inconsistent resolution, detail, and quality.CSUN CGS and CSUC GIC have been tasked with initiating NHD updates in CA for mutually agreed upon priority areas.Priority areas, methodology and timeline will be discussed.
