The harsh winter of 2015 blew most parts of New England past all-time records. A multi-modal mobile sensor system measured pavement condition for the entire City of Beverly, MA, right before and after the winter. Both datasets were spatially correlated and visualized in a geospatial online system. Pavement images of all roads were collected every meter both times. Comparing pavement condition indices and these georeferenced images uniquely demonstrate the impact a severe winter has on roadways.
