Shaping Future Use Cases for sUAS Operations and Data Processing

MTSI has investigated a large spectrum of available FAA airspace access methods for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS), from the Section 333/blanket COA process through to using the sUAS Test Sites and public operations to gather data for GIS applications. Lessons learned from navigating regulatory approvals and initial results from a selection of sUAS research programs will be discussed, along with impacts to GIS data quality and utility, based on regulatory operational limitations.
