Authors: Sheila Steinberg, Steven Steinberg
We examines how GIS impacts community resiliency, particularly case studies that represent different environments to determine how communities achieve resilience in the face of changing environmental conditions. GIS is used to gather, analyze and manage data and information about these communities and changing environments in urban, rural, desert and mountain communities. The goal is to map out physical and environmental changes and social responses as a part of achieving community resiliency.
